Ciruelo Cilíndrico is a rock band which was born in September of 2002 in Santidad (Arucas, Gran Canaria) with Itobal Medina (drums), Attmeixim Cárdenes (bass), Daniel Pérez "Chipi" (guitar) and Javier (guitar). This formation broke up and rejoined without Javier and with Aarón Santana (Funk8 bassist) as lead guitarist. In April of 2003 Anry Mederos joined the band as singer, and Ancor Ramírez replaced Aaron, creating the first stable line-up of Ciruelo Cilindrico.

The first show of the band was in the Sala Paraninfo (Las Palmas de G.C.) in the 2003 Paraninfo Contest. The style of Ciruelo at that moment was a mix of late 70's rock and early 90's grunge.

In November of 2004 Ancor is fired, and Daniel Bautista (ex-Hipospadia) joined Ciruelo. Chipi also left the band in early 2005, so Anry started playing the guitar for the band. The Ciruelo Cilindrico Mark II had been born. The style of the band changed to their favourite motto: "45% hard-rock/metal, 45% melody, 10% experimentation". Then the band edited two EPs and two LPs: Six Musical Bullets (2005), Gemini (2007), Ciruelosis (2008) and C'est Fini (2008).

The band dissolved in 2008.

Ciruelo Cilíndrico es una banda de rock que nació en septiembre de 2002 en Santidad (Arucas, Gran Canaria) con Itóbal Medina (batería), Attmeixim Cárdenes (bajo), Daniel Pérez "Chipi" (guitarra) y Javier (guitarra). Esta formación se disolvió y reapareció sin Javier y con Aarón Santana (bajista de Funk8) como guitarrista solista. En abril de 2003 Anry Mederos se unió a la banda como cantante, y Ancor Ramírez reemplazó a Aarón, creando la primera formación estable de Ciruelo Cilíndrico.

El primer concierto de la banda fue en la Sala Paraninfo (Las Palmas de G.C.) en el Concurso Paraninfo de 2003. El estilo de Ciruelo en ese momento era una mezcla de rock setentero y grunge.

En noviembre de 2004 Ancor es echado del grupo, y Daniel Bautista (ex-Hipospadia) entra en Ciruelo. Chipi también dejó la banda a principios de 2005, así que Anry pasó a ocuparse de las guitarras. Había nacido el Ciruelo Cilíndrico Mark II. El estilo del grupo cambió a su lema favorito: "45% rock duro/metal, 45% melodía, 10% experimentación".
